As part of the CORTEX2 Innovators Support Programme, HYMNE has developed an immersive platform that lets users attend and share virtual concerts, whether through VR headsets or a desktop. During the final phases of the Programme, the team finalised their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and worked closely with artists to translate their creative visions into AR/VR environments. The result is an interactive music experience where users can customise avatars, buy virtual merchandise, and receive personalised after-movies. With the foundations now in place, the team is preparing for the next phase: market readiness and scaling.

HYMNE’s progress on the CORTEX2 Programme

Q: How would you summarise the advances HYMNE has made during Phase 2 of the CORTEX2 Support Programme?

A: We completed the development of the MVP and worked together with the artists to define and realise their vision for their songs in AR/VR.

CORTEX2 Innovators_HYMNE progress update

Q: What has HYMNE achieved now that the Programme is complete?

A: We have a working platform where users can book their concerts. An application where users can gather with their friends to experience music in AR and VR, together via headset or desktop. Where they can customise their avatars, buy virtual merchandise and get personalised after movies.

Participating in this Programme enabled us to bring some of our ideas to life through code and real-world experiences. We collaborated with researchers and musicians, ultimately creating a platform to share these experiences with the world.

Q: What would you highlight about the Support Programme, what’s helped advance your solution the most?

A: CORTEX2 helped us by providing the communication base for our platform, so we could develop the business layer of organising concerts and experiencing shows.

Q: What’s the status of HYMNE after completing the Programme? What are your next steps?

A: We are fully committed to keep working on hybrid music experiences and our exploitation plan, and have to look for funding to complete the development of the version we can take to market.
