We are pleased to announce that the CORTEX2 final event will be held during the 22nd EuroXR International Conference – EuroXR 2025, taking place from September 3 to 5, 2025, in Winterthur, Switzerland. The conference will be hosted by the ZHAW School of Management and Law and co-organised by the European Association for eXtended Reality (EuroXR) and ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
EuroXR is a well-established event in the field of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality. It brings together researchers, professionals, and industry experts to exchange knowledge, present the latest advancements, and explore new directions in immersive technologies. This year’s edition will include keynote speeches, plenary sessions, and tracks dedicated to scientific research, industrial applications, posters, and demonstrations.
As part of the programme, CORTEX2 will join forces with the SPIRIT project to deliver a dedicated session highlighting the role of cascade funding in advancing innovation in XR, titled ‘Extended Collaborative Telepresence – How CORTEX² and SPIRIT are Advancing Innovation in XR’. This joint session will feature a curated selection of outcomes from both projects’ open calls, including research results, technology demonstrations, and real-world applications.
The session will offer attendees a firsthand look at how CORTEX2-funded projects have contributed to pushing the boundaries of extended reality and fostering collaboration between research and industry.
